Packing Services

Packing Services in Nairobi for People Who Would Rather Not.

Packing is where moves are quietly won or lost. Our packing services in Nairobi cover the full house, just the awkward rooms, or simply the boxes and tape delivered to your door — labelled by room, so unpacking is not a treasure hunt.

Three Ways to Do It

Full Pack, Part Pack, or Just the Materials

Most people take the middle option: we do the kitchen and the fragile things, they do the clothes.

Full Pack

We arrive with everything and pack the entire house — usually the day before the move. You go to work and come back to a house in boxes.

  • Every room, including the kitchen
  • All materials brought and included
  • Labelled and listed as we go

Part Pack

You pick the rooms. We take the ones that eat a weekend and break things — kitchen, crockery, screens, mirrors, art — and you handle clothes, books and shoes.

  • Choose room by room
  • Fragile items always ours
  • Cheaper than a full pack

Materials Only

Boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, marker pens and wardrobe boxes, dropped at your door in advance so you can pack at your own pace.

  • Delivered before moving day
  • Right box sizes for the job
  • Empties collected after the move
The Real Problem

Nothing Breaks in the Truck. It Breaks in the Box.

Plates packed flat crack on the first pothole. Plates packed on their edge, wrapped individually, with paper filling the gaps, do not. Almost every breakage we have ever seen came from a box with room to move inside it.

So the kitchen gets done properly: glasses wrapped one at a time, plates on edge like records in a rack, heavy things low, no half-empty boxes. Screens and TVs travel upright with corner protection, never flat under other boxes. Mirrors and framed pictures get taped, padded and carried on their edge.

And clothes go into wardrobe boxes on the hanger, so they come out of the truck ready to hang up rather than as a heap that needs ironing.

A box that rattles is a box that will break. If you are packing yourself, fill the gaps — and never make a box heavier than you can lift comfortably.

How It Works

From Empty Boxes to Empty Boxes

The packing service does not end when the truck is full. It ends when the cardboard is gone.

01

We Count the House

At the survey we work out how many boxes of each size you need, how many are fragile, and what needs a wardrobe box or a screen box.

02

Materials Arrive Early

Boxes, tape, paper, bubble wrap and markers are dropped off before the day — whether we are packing for you or you are packing yourself.

03

Pack and Label by Room

Each box is marked with its room and its contents, and the fragile ones are marked as fragile on more than one side so the crew can see it.

04

Unpack and Take the Empties

If you want unpacking, we open, place and flatten as we go. Either way we come back for the empty boxes so your new place is not a cardboard warehouse.

Questions

Packing, Answered

The things people ask before handing over their kitchen.

A full pack is usually done the day before the move, so the crew arrives on moving day to a house that is ready to load. Small flats can be packed and moved the same day. The number that matters is not bedrooms but how much is in the kitchen and how many fragile things you own — two people with a serious crockery collection take longer than a family with three bedrooms of clothes.

Yes, and these are the items we would most strongly recommend leaving to us. Screens travel upright with corner protection and padding, never flat under other boxes. Mirrors and framed pictures are taped across the face, padded, boxed where possible and carried on their edge. If you still have the original TV box, keep it — nothing beats it.

Hanging clothes go into wardrobe boxes — tall boxes with a rail inside. They go from your rail straight into the box and from the box straight onto the new rail, still on their hangers. Folded clothes and shoes go into ordinary boxes, and they are one of the easiest things to pack yourself if you are trying to keep the cost down.

We do. Unpacking is a separate service and you can take it for the whole house or just for the kitchen, which is the room most people dread. We open the boxes, put things on surfaces and into cupboards where you tell us, and flatten the cardboard as we go. Ask for it when you request your quote so we allow the crew time.

We take them away. Arrange a collection when you book and we come back once you have emptied them, flatten them and clear them out. A new house full of flattened cardboard is nobody’s idea of settling in.
