House Movers in Nairobi Who Treat Your Home Like a Home.
Studio to four-bedroom, ground floor to eighth floor. Apartment moving in Nairobi means stairs, service lifts, caretakers and gate books — we plan for all of it before the truck arrives, so your day does not turn into an argument in a stairwell.
Lift or stairs, we plan it
Everything a House Move Actually Needs
Not a truck and two men. A crew that knows what happens to a wardrobe when you tip it down a stairwell.
Access Sorted First
We ask about the floor, the stairwell, the service lift and the estate gate before quoting. If the lift needs booking with the caretaker, we tell you which day to book it — and we bring a crew sized for stairs if there is no lift.
Beds and Wardrobes Taken Apart
Bed frames, bunk beds, wardrobes, cots and flat-pack units come apart properly. Screws and fittings go in a labelled bag taped to the frame, so nothing is missing when we rebuild them in the new place.
Wrapping as Standard
Mattresses, sofas, the fridge, the TV and the dining table get wrapped before they leave the room — not once they have already collected a scratch on a corridor wall.
Boxes Labelled by Room
Every box is marked with the room it belongs to and roughly what is inside. That way it lands in the right room at the other end and you are not hunting for the kettle at 9pm.
A Day Kids and Pets Can Survive
We keep doors, corridors and lifts clear, and we tell you when we are about to start on a room. If the children or the dog need to stay in one room until the truck is loaded, say so and we will work around it.
Handover in Good Shape
We do not drag furniture across floors or knock the door frames on the way out. An empty flat that still looks intact is half the battle with a landlord inspection.
Apartment Moving in Nairobi Is Won or Lost at the Stairwell.
The furniture is rarely the hard part. The hard part is the eighth floor with one small lift, a caretaker who wants the lift booked in advance, an estate that will not let a lorry past the gate, and a corridor too narrow for a three-seater to turn.
So we ask the awkward questions early. Which floor. Is there a service lift, and does it need booking. Can the truck get to the door, or do we shuttle from the gate. How wide is the door of the room the wardrobe has to leave. Getting those answers before the day is why our quote holds and our timings hold.
- No lift? We bring more hands rather than fewer trips, so the day does not stretch into the night.
- Tight estate access? We plan the shuttle from the gate into the quote instead of adding it on the day.
- Wardrobe will not fit? It comes apart, goes down, and goes back together upstairs.
From First Call to Deposit Back
A house move runs on preparation. Here is how we prepare yours.
Home Survey
We walk the flat or house — in person or on a video call — and note the floor, the lift, the gate, the stairs and every item that will need taking apart.
Book the Day and the Lift
You get a written quote and a date. If the building needs the service lift reserved, we tell you what to ask the caretaker for and how long we will need it.
Pack, Dismantle, Load
Fragile things wrapped, beds and wardrobes dismantled, boxes labelled by room, and the truck loaded so nothing shifts on the way across town.
Rebuild and Walk Through
Boxes go to the right rooms, beds and wardrobes go back together, and we walk both properties with you so the old one is left clean and undamaged.
House and Apartment Moving, Answered
What people ask us before booking a home move.
Yes, and it is part of the job rather than a surprise line on the bill. Beds, bunk beds, wardrobes, cots, dining tables and flat-pack units come apart at the old place and go back together at the new one. Screws and fittings are bagged, labelled and taped to the piece they came from.
Tell us at the survey what needs dismantling so we bring the right crew and the right time.
It is a planning question, not a problem. Most Nairobi apartment blocks want the service lift booked with the caretaker or building manager, and some only allow moves at certain hours. Tell us the rules at the survey and we will build the day around them — and if the lift is out of service, we bring a bigger crew for the stairs rather than stretching a small one over ten trips.
It depends far more on access than on the number of bedrooms. A two-bedroom on the ground floor with parking at the door is a straightforward day. The same flat on the sixth floor with no lift and a gate 200 metres away is a different job. That is exactly what the survey is for — we give you a realistic window, not an optimistic one.
We cannot argue with your landlord for you, but most deposit disputes come down to damage caused on moving day — gouged walls, scraped floors, a chipped door frame. We wrap furniture, protect corners and lift rather than drag, so the flat you hand back looks like the flat you lived in. We also take the empty boxes away if you want, so the inspection is not done around a pile of cardboard.
Yes. We can pack the whole house, pack only the parts you would rather not touch — the kitchen usually — or just drop off boxes, tape and bubble wrap so you can pack at your own pace. See our packing services for how each option works.
Services That Pair With a Home Move
Most house moves need one or two of these bolted on. Tell us at the quote stage and it is all one price.
Packing Services
Full pack, part pack, or just the materials. The kitchen and the fragile things are where it pays for itself.
