Furniture Movers in Nairobi for the One Awkward Item.
A sofa. A fridge. A six-foot bed. A piano. You do not need a whole house move to shift one heavy thing — and you should not have to beg friends with a pickup. We do single-item jobs properly: wrapped, carried, and set down where you want it.
Lifted, never dragged
What Furniture Movers Should Actually Do
The difference between a furniture move and a favour from a friend with a car.
Single-Item Moves
One sofa across town. A fridge from your mother’s house. A bed from the old flat to the new one. A piano that four people once tried and gave up on. If it is one thing, we quote it as one thing.
Dismantle and Reassemble
Bed frames, wardrobes, modular sofas, dining tables and shelving units come apart and go back together. Fittings bagged, labelled and taped to the frame so nothing goes missing between the two houses.
Wrapping as Standard
Upholstery, mattresses, table tops, glass and appliance doors get wrapped before they leave the room — not after they have already picked up a scrape from a door frame. It is not an add-on.
Appliances Handled Right
Fridges and freezers travel upright and are left to stand before being switched back on. Washing machines get their drum secured. Cookers and gas fittings are disconnected only where it is safe for us to do so.
Marketplace Pickups
You found a sofa online, agreed a price, and now it is sitting in a stranger’s living room in Kileleshwa. Send us the address and the time — we collect it, wrap it, and bring it to you.
Placed Where You Want It
We do not leave it in the corridor. It goes into the room, into the corner, at the angle you want — and if you change your mind once you see it there, we will move it again before we leave.
It Came In Somehow. It Can Go Out Again.
The three-seater that will not turn in the corridor. The wardrobe that is wider than the bedroom door. The fridge and the stairwell landing that is exactly the wrong shape. This is the job most movers quietly try to avoid.
We measure first — the item, the doorway, the turn, the stair. Then we choose: take the legs and the back off, stand it on its end, take the door off its hinges, or go through the balcony. Almost nothing is genuinely stuck. What gets things stuck is deciding at the last minute, with the sofa already halfway through the frame.
- Send us a photo. A WhatsApp picture of the item and the doorway usually tells us everything we need.
- We bring the right number of hands. Two people and a piano is how backs and floors get broken.
- Doors and frames protected. The item is not the only thing that can be damaged on the way out.
Three Steps for a Single Item
A one-item move should be booked in minutes, not surveyed for a week.
Send a Photo and Two Addresses
WhatsApp us a picture of the item, the doorway it has to come through, and the floor at each end. That is usually enough for a firm price.
We Wrap, Dismantle and Lift
Wrapping goes on before the item moves. If it needs to come apart to leave the room, it comes apart. Doors and frames get protected too.
Rebuilt and Set in Place
At the other end it goes back together and into the room you want, in the position you want. Then we take the wrapping away with us.
Furniture Moving, Answered
What people ask before booking a single-item job.
Yes. One sofa, one fridge, one bed, one piano, one gym machine. Single-item moves are a normal part of what we do, not a favour we squeeze in. Send the item, the two addresses and the floors, and we will price it.
Usually it does fit — just not the way it is being carried. We measure the item and the opening, then decide whether to take the legs and back off, stand it on its end, or lift the door off its hinges. If the only route is the balcony or a window, we tell you honestly before the day rather than discovering it while your neighbours watch.
That is one of our most common jobs. Give us the seller’s address, a time they will be there, and your address. We collect the item, wrap it, and bring it to your door. Same for furniture shops and warehouse pickups — you do not have to be present at both ends, as long as someone can let us in.
We do, and it is a job we survey rather than guess at. The weight, the type of piano, the stairs and the turns all change the crew and the equipment we bring. What we will not do is send two people and hope. Tell us what you have and we will tell you what the move needs.
Yes, please. A loaded wardrobe or chest of drawers is far heavier, far more likely to twist and split at the joints, and far more likely to spill on a stairwell. Empty it, and if you would rather not do the packing, our packing service can handle the contents.
Bigger Than One Sofa?
If the list is growing, one of these is probably the better fit.
House & Apartment Moving
Once it is a room or a whole flat, a house move is cheaper than a string of single items.
